Polish, American and British scientists have created a three-dimensional map of the Milky Way galaxy, including the solar system.

The 3D space map of the Milky Way, including the solar system, is more precise and detailed, Space.com announced Friday.

Scientists from Polish universities in Warsaw, Ohio and Warwick were able to create the three-dimensional map after observing the changing stars of Sefeid and other celestial bodies of the solar system.

The site, quoting an astronomer from the University of Warsaw, "Dorota Skuron", indicates that the current map, unlike the previous ones, used a way to calculate the distance between the stars and directly modify the sun.

The three-dimensional map is very important to learn about the history and structure of the galaxy and the movement of stars and their propagation after composition.

In this context, as part of the construction of the new map, approximately two thousand 400 variable stars were observed during 6 years.
