UAE provides about 35% of Japan's oil needs in June

The United Arab Emirates accounted for 34.7% of Japan's total petroleum imports in June 2019, according to the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

The United Arab Emirates exported 28.899 million barrels of crude oil to Japan in June, the official WAM news agency quoted the Japanese Energy Agency as saying.

The quantity of crude oil imported by Japan during the month amounted to 83,331 million barrels and that of Arab oil to 72,533 million barrels, or 87%.

Total UAE crude oil and condensate exports in May reached 2.63 million barrels per day, compared with 2.62 million barrels per day in April 2019.

UAE exports to Japan averaged 699,000 barrels per day in March, while UAE oil exports to Japan fell by 66,000 barrels per day in May compared to exports in April 2019.
