Since retiring from football in 2015, Brazil's football wizard Ronaldinho has struggled to manage his money while playing football.
The Brazilian authorities seized 57 properties of the Brazilian star, the newspaper El Folha de Sao Paulo announced.
Ronaldinho has been fined more than two million euros for violating environmental laws in his business, as well as for an accumulated debt of 1.8 million euros.
Brazilian authorities confiscated Brazilian and Spanish pbadports so that he could not leave the country before paying the money.
Ronaldinho's lawyers requested that the Spanish pbadport be returned to their client on the grounds that his seizure was "unjustified", adding that they were ready to take the case to the Spanish government to prove that the Brazilian authorities "were acting illegally".
Last year, the Brazilian court of justice in the state of Rio Grande de Sol ruled out the withdrawal of Ronaldinho and his brother Roberto Moreira for unpaid debts of two million euros after the construction of An illegal candy and construction of a pier and a fishing platform on the coast of the Brazilian city of Jubia.
