An Israeli diplomatic source commented on media reports that King Abdullah II of Jordan refused to hold a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Israeli TV channel Kan, quoting an Israeli diplomatic source, was quoted as saying that the Jordanian newspaper Al-Quds Al-Arabi had rejected Jordan's refusal to hold a meeting between Netanyahu and King Abdullah II, calling it "shameful".
The newspaper (Jerusalem Arab): The Jordanian monarch has rejected a request for an extraordinary meeting of Netanyahu, noting that King Abdullah has refused any contact at the present time.
The newspaper pointed out that Netanyahu angry, considering the public stance of the King of Jordan to raise the slogan "Not less than a sovereign state, with East Jerusalem as capital".
