The Committee's recommendations agreed to adopt the Cairo Declaration on Hepatitis in Africa with the ratification of the African Union Member States, which welcomed Egypt's achievements in the fight against HIV, confirming the possibility to repeat the successes of an African country in all African countries.

The Committee also welcomed Egypt's recommendation to raise awareness and highlight the celebration of World Hepatitis Day on July 28 of each year.

Mujahid referred to the Committee's recommendation to promote the use of hepatitis B vaccine as part of national vaccination and the introduction of a universal vaccine at a birth dose to prevent transmission. mother and child.

He also pointed out that among the recommendations included the consolidation of drug registration mechanisms in line with international standards and the registration of manufacturers and producers in accordance with the requirements of good manufacturing standards for the African continent, in addition to strengthening of local production of advanced pharmaceutical ingredients and effective raw materials.
