Arslan defends Aoun … and calls for a cabinet meeting

The leader of the Lebanese Democratic Party, MP Talal Arslan, said that "what President Michel Aoun has done is one of the foundations of his constitutional powers and that nobody should disturb the country and its constitutional institutions".

He said in a tweet about his account via "Twitter": "We have several times called for a meeting of the Council of Ministers to discuss a bit of the issue of the badbadination attempt of Minister Saleh al-Gharib on the table."

He stressed that "the problems and crises of the natural position of the country must be placed within constitutional institutions or placed in the street ??".

Arslan concluded: "Sufficiently negligent and ridiculous the spirit and interests of the people, let Prime Minister Saad Hariri attend a meeting, put things back on the agenda and exercise the right of the Council Ministers to vote on the referral of the case to the Council of Justice,
