Window on the World – Scientists have observed a very hot planet resembling American football, which constantly molded in the form of metal. The planet located outside the solar system is called WASP-121b.

Observing the planet with the help of a telescope A Johns Hopkins University researcher, David Singh, reported that there is a giraffe composed of iron and magnesium all over the planet. The results were published in the scientific journal Astronomical Journal last Thursday.

The planet is about 900 light-years away from the planet and is about one-third the mbad of Jupiter, the largest planet in the world. Planets outside the solar system revolve around the star so strong that their appeal is almost broken. The planet is so elongated and resembles American football because of the influence of gravity.

The atmosphere of the planet discovered is heated by a nearby star, raising the temperature to about 2500 degrees Celsius. This degree of heat is logical and close to the temperature of the other outer planets. This high temperature is sufficient to prevent metals such as iron and magnesium from condensing in the atmosphere, but rather to initiate and escape the space as a gas.

This discovery is the first evidence that planets outside the solar system are throwing metals into space. Despite the discovery of many outer planets possessing metal gases in their atmosphere, it is the first time that the release of metals in space is confirmed.
