Manchester City won the Community Shield Shield Shield Sunday night, beating Liverpool 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at Wembley.
Rahim Sterling scored the first goal of the game in the 12th minute, after Brazilian goalkeeper Allison was wrong to handle the ball on the line.
Pep Guardiola's team dominated the first half of the match, despite tentative attempts by Liverpool players, most of whom were almost identical to Egyptian Mohamed Salah in front of goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.
In the final seconds, Salah could have scored a deadly goal for Liverpool when Kyle Walker did not have it.
After the initial time, both teams went straight into the penalty shootout and City managed to score 5-4.
A record for Liverpool (Shakiri-Lalana-Chamberlain-Salah) and the loss of Wandallum.
