A recent report from the Audit Office revealed the existence of a committee and work team at the Ministry of Health consistent with the mandate, members and timing of the meeting, rewarding both a chair and its members.
The report confirmed that a committee responsible for inspecting employee time and tracking their fingerprint engagement within the department coincided with the work team performing the same task and the members themselves, pointing out that the Ministry, in the absence of control of its officials, had paid bonuses to the two meetings held on the same day and time.
The dismissal of bonuses was not justified because it was an attack on public funds and a lack of supervision before disbursement. It was therefore necessary to conduct an investigation and recover these bonuses from the members of the committee and the working team, who are unfortunately directors and heads of departments.
The report was surprised by the lack of detection of these cases by accountants, auditors and auditors of "health", calling for the reference of inspectors to the work of the meeting of committees and investigation teams.
