While Samsung and Huawei are looking to enter the era of folding smart phones with the Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X, LG has decided to follow a slightly different approach.
When the South Korean company launched the LG V50 ThinQ earlier this year, it also launched an additional screen protector that allows you to get a retractable phone when this accessory is connected to the LG V50 ThinQ phone. This protective cover features a 6.2-inch OLED display and allows users to use the second screen to multitask, play or capture images.
LG is now looking to capitalize on the upcoming LG V60 ThinQ, which will be announced at IFA 2019, to be held in Berlin in early September. Until then, LG has launched a teaser announcing the importance of the second screen.
If you take a closer look, you'll notice that the second screen is similar in size to the current phone. This will be a step forward as the first generation comes with a smaller screen and a thick bezel. In addition, the second generation of LG Dual Screen accessories will also include a small external display for notifications, time and date.
Although we have no more details for the moment, we are waiting for more news on the next LG device before its announcement on September 6 in Berlin, Germany.
