Turkish Minister of Health: One million foreigners were treated in Turkey in one and a half years

Turkish Health Minister Fakhruddin Koca said the total number of foreign patients treated in Turkey in the last two years had exceeded one million.

This was pronounced during a speech delivered during his participation in a seminar entitled "Medical Tourism and Sport", with the participation of Foreign Ministers, Mevlüş Çavuşo والش lu, youth and sports, Mehmet Mu قص ammad Kbadaboglu on the sidelines of the 11th Turkish Ambbadadors Conference in Ankara.

He pointed out that the total number of foreign patients who received treatment in Turkey in 2018 exceeded half a million people and that the number of foreigners coming to Turkey to be treated in 2019 had exceeded this number.

With regard to medical tourism, Turkey 's goal for the year 2023 is to provide services to more than 1.5 million foreigners a year and to increase by 5 the country's revenues from the medical tourism sector.

He stressed that Turkey is focusing on the promotion of its medical tourism sector in the following countries: Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Iraq, Qatar, Great Britain, Germany, Belgium and others.
