The union of workers and users of electricity in Lebanon refused to "defend the heads of departments, departments, divisions and workers because the companies providing services did not delay their work". He also rejected "the amendment of Law 462/2002 and the extension of powers of companies providing services to the funds of the institution reporting to the Finance Directorate". The union was surprised that the ministerial committee in charge of the Council of Ministers did not participate in the study of the electricity plan and the amendment of the law n ° 462/2002. According to the union, the ministry said: "We did not know the fate of the amendments."

The union stressed that he "is not opposed to any project aimed at ensuring the success of the electricity sector, but not at the expense of workers, their rights and the sustainability of their otherwise, the union considers itself the sole legitimate representative of the workers and employees and is not entitled to take such action as it deems appropriate and appropriate. interest of the Corporation and its employees, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. "
