"The United States supports a fair and transparent judicial review, without any political interference," said the US Embbady in Beirut in a statement.
She stressed that "any attempt to take advantage of the tragic event in Qabrishmun on June 30 to promote political goals must be rejected".
"The United States has made it clear to the Lebanese authorities that they hope to resolve the issue in a way that will achieve justice and avoid inciting sectarian and regional struggles with political antecedents."
