Alfonso Garcia, president and owner of Almeria, congratulated the new owner of the club, Turki Al-Sheikh, chairman of the Entertainment Authority in Saudi Arabia, in the hope of a future promising for the football team that he will lead over the next period.

Garcia held a press conference at the headquarters of the rival club of Spain's second division, goodbye to the crowd, during which he expressed his best wishes for the departure of the group Al-Sheikh.

Al-Sheikh, the former head of the Saudi General Sports Authority, has acquired the property of Almeria in a new investment experience outside Arab countries, after his season's experience last with the Egyptian club Pyramids.

"I thank both our support and those who have not done so in the past," Garcia told the press conference. "We have always united football, everyone works here for Almeria."

He added: "The sale took place for the development and growth of the club, the new owner is very impressed by the team, he bet with his team on our fans and our city."

Garcia concluded: "We are having great times, we have reached a wonderful moment and we have fought for a good sale for the club, and finally I want to thank everyone."

Almeria has announced the dismissal of former coach Oscar Fernandez and the appointment of Portuguese Pedro Emanuel as a new coach in the early stages of change within the club.
