Renewal of International Accreditation of Laboratories of the Institute for Animal Health Research

The Ministry of Agriculture and Soil Rehabilitation announced the renewal of accreditation granted to the Animal Health Research Institute and some of its sub-laboratories in accordance with ISO 17025 : 2017 by the Committee of the National Council of Accreditation (IGAC), in addition to the adoption of new tests.

According to a report received by the Minister of Agriculture and Lands, Mr. Ezz El-Din Abou-Sittet, from Mr. Mumtaz Shaheen, Director of the Institute, the renewal is inscribed in the framework of the achievement of the Institute's objectives and its mission concerning the quality of the performances, the precision, the speed, the efficiency and the excellence of the results of its laboratories in conformity with the international standards in matter badysis and announcement of results.

The report pointed out that the number of accredited tests at the Institute had reached about 142 laboratory tests since the beginning of the accreditation process in the institutes' labs, which started in 2005 in addition to the l 39; Institute this year to obtain the international standard ISO 9001: 2015 to serve the research system and researchers and the international standard for training, learning and consulting. 21001: 2018.

For its part, the Minister of Agriculture praised the efforts made by the institute and all members of the quality team of the institute for their efforts and congratulated them and gave them desired, as well as to all employees of the institute, excellence and progress to serve our beloved country, Egypt.
