Juventus and Manchester City swap Danilo and Cancello

Juventus and Manchester City have hired defenseman Danilo in the Italian club and back-end Joao Cancelo among the English Premier League champions.

Juventus has announced it has signed a contract with Brazilian Danilo for five years for a total of 37 million euros, while Manchester City has confirmed the signing of the Portuguese international Cancelo.

Juventus added that the English champions would pay 65 million euros for the Cansello deal.

The 25-year-old spent a season at Juventus and helped the team win their eighth consecutive Serie A title.

He grew up in Benfica and played for Valencia and Inter Milan.

"City is a great team with a great coach and I'm happy to be here," said Cancelo.

Cansillo has been stuck in 14 games with his country, although Nelson Semedo holds a key position in the right back of Portugal.

Danilo, a member of the Brazilian team at the World Cup last year, played 34 Premier League matches over two seasons with Manchester City.

Aged 28, he grew up in America and also played for Santos, Porto and Real Madrid.
