Everton has officially hired Gabriel Sidby of Monaco for a loan season, with an option to buy.

Sidney became Everton's sixth supporter during the summer transition period, along with André Gomez, Delph Fabian, Jean-Philippe, Jonas Lusl and Moise Keane.

The French back has played for Monaco in 114 matches, scoring six goals and making 27 appearances in all competitions since arriving in Lille in 2016.

"He was very happy to sign a club the size of Everton – it was easy for me.

"He is 100% excited to help the club and achieve his goals in addition to my personal goals."

He made 18 caps for France, scoring a single goal against England and was part of the winning team of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
