Aoun presents security conditions in Bou Saab

The President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, met with the Minister of Defense, Elias Bou Saab, this afternoon at the Baabda Palace, the situation with regard to security in the country and institutions and the needs of the Ministry of Defense.

Aoun received MP Mario Aoun and visited him with a skyline on the news in the light of recent developments. The meeting also addressed the needs of the Chouf Development Zone and the ongoing preparations for the president's move to the summer presidential residence in Beiteddine in mid-August.

He reviewed with the former Minister Raed Khoury the economic situation of the country, especially with regard to the monitoring of the national economic plan, developed in cooperation with the "McKinsey" Foundation, which will allow economic recovery, after have been presented to the Council of Ministers and approved.

Patriarchy Committee for the year
Aoun received a delegation from the Patriarchal Central Committee of Patriarch Elias Al-Howeik and the Centenary of Greater Lebanon, headed by the head of the Maronite Center for Documentation and Research, Bishop Samir Mazloum. Preparations for the year-long celebrations of Patriarch Al-Howeik, which last one year and begin with a Mbad hosted by the Maronite Patriarch Bishara Boutros Al-Rahi on August 31 at the Patriarchal Building of Bkirki, in cooperation with the nuns of the Holy Family founded by Patriarch Hwaik. President Aoun received Professor Salim Dakkash, President of Saint Joseph University, and President of the Lebanese Association of Energy for Health, HE Mr. LEBANESE HEALTH ENERGY, who introduced him the details of the second conference organized by the Lebanese Association of Energy for Health on the campus of St. Joseph University of the Museum on November 1 and 2 next. Aoun praised the badociation's efforts in cooperation with Saint Joseph University, stressing the importance of coordination between different sectors of medicine to put in place an innovative health policy.
