The Mount Lebanon investigating judge, Ziad Mekneh, opened his investigation into the arrest of his wife, Rana El-Beinou, on July 28, when his wife was killed in a car in Bhamdoun.

The first investigating judge of Mount Lebanon had examined the record of the preliminary investigation and forwarded it to the investigating judge, Nadim Nashif, but Mr. Nashif had decided to withdraw voluntarily from the investigation.

The medical report prepared by medical examiner Hbadan al-Miqdad after the examination and autopsy indicated that the cause of death had been caused by the victim of two-stage violence before falling off the car.

Rana was buried Friday in her home town of Kfardebian at 5 pm at the St. Ephrem pastoral church.
