Midfielder Nathan Redmond signed a new four-year contract to stay in the club until 2023. Redmond, who played in 38 league games last season and was named best player of the season in Southampton, scored six goals and finished 16th. He escapes the landing.
Southampton coach Ralph Hazenhotel said the Redmond extension was a good move by the club before the start of the new season. Southampton starts its Premier League campaign against Burnley on Saturday.
