Leicester City has named Thai Iwat Srivadhanabraba to replace his father, Vichai, who died in a helicopter crash last October.

Vechai Srivadanabraba died after his helicopter crashed after taking off from Leicester's stronghold King Power Stadium, and a few seconds later he seems to have lost control after several problems with the rear fan, resulting in his fall and set fire outside the stadium.

The club announced in an official statement on its website the appointment of Iwat to the presidency with his brother Abich Srivadhanabraba, vice president.

"It is a great honor for me to be named president of this great club and I would like to achieve success in the future," Iwat Srivadhanabraba said in comments highlighted by the official website after his appointment.

"With the start of the new season, I look forward to accomplishing my accomplishments and I think many challenges lie ahead, and we are working as a family in Leicester."

"Next summer, the training will be held in a new training center, which will be the best in Europe, as we consult the development of King Power Stadium."

"These developments were part of my father's dream with the club.It is a big dream for us and we want to achieve it in the next few years."

Vichy Srivadhanabraba bought Leicester City in 2010 for 39 million pounds before entering the club coffers for 371 million pounds, thus winning his first Premier League title in the history of the "foxes" of the season 2015-2016.
