The South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) suspended Gabriel Jesus for two months after his expulsion in the Copa America final last month.
Jesus, 22, scored one goal and created another before being sent off in Brazil's 3-1 win over Peru in the Copa America final in Maracana on July 7th.
Jesus, the Manchester City striker, protested against Chilean referee Roberto Tobar after receiving a second yellow card.
Conmebol said in a statement that the suspension would be two months for Jesus, during friendly and official matches with the Brazilian national team.
