The price of one million dollars will be available only for those who monitor a vulnerability that allows access to the remote iPhone operating system without any user action the phone. The previous grand prize offered by Apple was $ 200,000 for those who informed him of flaws that can be corrected by software updates so as not to be exposed to criminals and spies.

Government contractors and intermediaries pay up to $ 2 million for the most effective intrusion techniques to obtain information from agencies.

Private companies, including the Israeli group NSO, sell undercover tools to governments.

"The NSO Group is developing a technology licensed to intelligence and law enforcement agencies for the sole purpose of preventing and investigating terrorism and crime," the company said in a statement. a statement.
