Dublin – The Irish pilots of the Irish low-cost airline Ryanair have announced their intention to organize a strike.
The law requires the Irish union "Forza", which represents the pilots, to warn the company of the strike a week before the implementation date. The union said it would inform the company's management of its plans early next week, in the light of the union-management dispute over the pilots' salaries.

The union organized a vote for the pilots participating in the strike. 94% of them agreed to go on strike.
This comes two days after the British Pilots Association (Balpa) announced Wednesday night the intention of pilots of the Irish airline Ryanair to conduct a strike for several days between late August and early September.
The badociation said 80 percent of its members voted in favor of a five-day strike on August 22-23 and September 2-4.
The reasons for the conflict between Ryanair and the pilots relate to pensions, salaries and other issues.
