Apple has once again stumbled on the smartphone market, losing third place to the benefit of a lesser-known Chinese company, revealed second-quarter sales figures compiled by a market research firm.

The famous iPhone is ranked fourth in global sales with 35.3 million handsets, compared with 36.2 million for Chinese Oppo in April, according to IH Market.

The "Apple" has stopped earlier, to publish detailed data on the sales of the device, "iPhone".

Samsung, which unveiled Wednesday the Galaxy Note 10, has maintained first place with a wide margin, with a 23% market share and sales of 75.1 million devices, ahead of "Huawei" with a share by 18% after selling 58.7 million smartphones.

Apple wants to prove that it can get good results away from its flagship product, the iPhone, thanks to devices and services that help it offset its decline in the smartphone market.

In the second quarter, iPhone sales accounted for the first time less than half of the group's business revenue, but Apple managed to improve its 1% business turnover, despite a decline 12% of its turnover.

According to other market research companies, Apple would have retained third place despite the decline in sales of "iPhone".
