LONDON (Reuters) – Manchester City started their campaign to defend the English Premier League title with a landslide 5-0 victory over West Ham United at home on Saturday.
Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring record for him and his team, Manchester City, in the new season, in the 25th minute of the first half.
In the 51st and 75th minutes, his team-mate Rahim Stirling strengthened City's lead by scoring two goals in a row.
Argentine striker Sergio Aguero added the fourth goal in the 86th minute of a penalty kick.
Raheem Stirling then came back to wrap up his five-goal victory with his third personal hat trick.
