Lebanese Prime Minister announces reconciliation among Druze leaders

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri said that "reconciliation between the Druze leaders took place at Baabda Palace".

Hariri said Friday that "from now on, there will be a new page and that we will all cooperate in the interest of Lebanon".

He also pointed out that the unfortunate incident of Qabrshmoun al-Basateen, which resulted in two casualties and two injuries, falls under the military justice, which investigates his situation according to law, adding that "in light of the results of the investigation, the cabinet makes the appropriate decision ".

Hariri announced that the government would meet tomorrow at 11 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the presidential palace.

He said that it had been agreed on a number of basic measures that would contribute to the activation of the economy and strengthening of public finances, adding that the meeting had expressed its satisfaction as for the purification of the political climate, openness and reconciliation.

The meeting is held on Friday at Baabda Palace. It included meetings of the President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, Assembly Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Progressive Socialist Party President Walid Jumblatt and MP Talal Arslan.
