Ahmed al-Zaini, head of the building materials division, said the price of cement had dropped slightly due to lower sales and that it would remain so throughout Eid.
Al-Zaini, in his remarks on the "Constitution", believes that the decline in cement prices by traders and not companies, because companies are fixed and does not change their prices, pointing out that cement prices will rise again after the end of Eid.
Zaini said that building materials in general were in a state of stability in the markets and that there was no sign of increase in the coming days.
The price of the reinforced cement was 828 pounds per ton, that of Aswan Cement was on average 803 pounds per ton. The average price of Egyptian cement Beni Suef was 835 pounds, the obelisk 803 pounds, Suez Cement 810 pounds and the military cement Beni Suef 813 pounds and Tora and Helwan Cement 823 pounds.
