The Action Committee of the Apostolic Volunteers of the Maronite Sisters organizes a social campaign entitled "Kumcha-Wheat", recalling the greetings of Patriarchal Patriarch Elias Hweik during the First World War against Famine, which cost one-third of the Lebanese population .
This campaign is part of the series of activities of the year of celebration on the occasion of the proclamation of Patriarch Elias Hweik and the preparatory year for the celebration of the first centenary of the declaration of the State of Greater Lebanon.
This campaign starts from the mother monastery of the badociation in Abrin, then from different Lebanese regions (Batroun, Byblos, Jounieh, Beirut, Alma El Shaab, Saghbin, Zahle, Deir El Ahmar, Bcharre) and will run for seven days, from August 19 to 25, 2019.
50 young men and women from different parts of Lebanon will participate in this campaign and distribute #Kamsha_wheat to the inhabitants of these cities with a leaflet identifying the campaign.
