Jose Mourinho appeared on Sky Sports Sunday as an badyst for the match between two coaches from Manchester United and Chelsea in the first round of the Premier League.
The TV channel announced that the Portuguese coach, who had no more training post since his dismissal from United last December, joined a group of former players such as Gary Neville, Jimmy Carger, Grim Sounis and Jimmy Redknapp.
"The Premier League is a special tournament for me," Mourinho told Sky Sports. "It is a tournament that requires a lot of effort to win.
"Sky Sports is the homeland of the Premier League and I'm excited to join this team and help understand and explain what's going on in every game."
The Portuguese, nicknamed "Special One", who led Chelsea to three Premier League titles over two terms, said he was considering returning to the coaching career.
The match ended with the victory of the "Red Devils" four draws.
