Brazilian international midfielder Wallace Souza Silva has signed a five-year contract with Hannover, the club said.

The sports director of the Italian club, Pierpaolo Marino, commented on the deal, describing the Brazilian as a "big boost", which "will give the team the right technical balance".

The deal is part of Udinese's policy to strengthen its ranks, having finished 12th in Serie A last season.

Wallace was crowned with the 2016 Seleção team, hosted by Brazil, and defended Hanover since 2018, before leaving for the second division in May.

Wallace began his career at home with Gremio (2014-2017), before going to the Bundesliga in 2017, where he first played for Hamburg (2017 – 2018) before moving to Hanover. He also played five selections for Brazil, participated in the Copa America in 2016 and won the Olympic gold medal the same year.
