"Health" plans to set up medical advice

The newspaper learned that the Ministry of Health was considering the creation of medical councils in the health zones to reduce the clutter of the only medical council located in the specialized medical sector of Sabah.

Informed sources on health said that the ministry is now employing to automate the work of the General Medical Council, namely the electronic appointment of services and the medical examination before the start of work.

The sources pointed out that the number of reviewers within the Medical Council reached 300,000 referrals a year, noting that 80% of transactions were completed within 24 hours.

She explained that the mandate of the General Medical Council is the medical examination of candidates for public office in government agencies and public institutions, medical examination of candidates for a fellowship, medical examination cases referred to the Board by the state departments and its affiliated agencies, establishing the necessary medical recommendations and determining the extent of the badociation. Illness, injury or death during work or occupation for cases brought before the Board by ministries and public institutions, and to badess the health status of workers in government agencies to continue serving or not.
