An elderly American man committed suicide after killing his wife in Washington for failing to pay for health care.
Watcom County Law Enforcement Forces are investigating the murder and suicide of a 77-year-old man and his 76-year-old wife, according to Newsweek.
The husband called the police to tell them that he would shoot himself and give them information about where he was and instructions to reach him.
The police tried to keep him online, but without success, the seniors ending the call saying, "We will be in the room at the front."
The police arrived home after 15 minutes and the police did not enter the house until about an hour later. They then sent a camera mounted on a robot and found the couple dead.
According to the report, the couple left a substantive message, "serious and persistent medical problems for the wife, in which he feared not having sufficient financial resources to pay for medical care".
The police are now trying to communicate with the deceased's parents.
