The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that Saudi Arabia had successfully organized the Hajj season this year 1440 AH / 2019, "without reporting a single public health event or epidemic disease at the pilgrims".
"A team of experts has been deployed to support the efforts of the Ministry of Health and to ensure that public health preparedness measures are implemented to prevent possible epidemic diseases", said the WHO in a statement received on Monday.

"The WHO team visited health centers and hospitals in Mina, Muzdalifah and Arafat to make sure the early warning system was in place and working well", according to the press release.
The statement stresses that Riyad is ready to prevent and deal with the risks badociated with human mbades, such as heat-related diseases and food poisoning.
