Harry Styles denied Prince Eric in the live version of The Little Mermaid.
The work is directed by Rob Marshall, who previously directed the film Mary Poppins Returns and oversaw David Maggie's screenplay.
The work will include songs from the original 1989 film, as well as new songs by Alan Minkin and Lynn Manuel Miranda.
Disney has chosen African star Halley Bailey to play the role of Ariel Mermaid alongside Jacob Tremblay and rapper Okavina.
Everyone expected the actress to be a white-haired mermaid, as the mermaid showed in the original drawing.
