The NRT satellite channel belongs to Nalya Media Corporation and dates back to the time when there was no independent channel in the region.
The NRT satellite channel officially began broadcasting on 17 February 2011 in the midst of protests in the Kurdistan regions inspired by the Arab Spring and in response to the need for independent, accurate and impartial news in the region.
After three days of live broadcast, the headquarters of the channel was targeted by an unidentified armed group and burned the entire chain.
In recent years, NRT has been the only independent and professional media network in the region, providing accurate and unbiased information, a priority for Nalia management.
