Manama, August 15 (BNA) Mumtalakat Bahrain Holding, the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom, announced today the completion of the migration of its digital infrastructure to cloud computing for data centers Amazon's Amazon Web Services (AWS), a first of its kind in the Middle East. .
Mumtalakat is the first government entity to have completed the migration of its digital infrastructure to the cloud after the recent opening of Amazon Web Services (AWS) at three data centers in Bahrain on July 30 to provide storage services in cloud to regional organizations and to keep up with growing demand in the Middle East. This migration has reduced the use of Mumtalakat for global data centers and improved the speed and flexibility of its IT services.
Mumtalakat's IT team migrated the data immediately after opening the local Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers and oversaw the migration of Mumtalakat and Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company (Edama). , the real estate investment arm of Mumtalakat.
"The entire migration process was done internally by the team, which is the main benefit of providing a competent and trained team to carry out the migration process as quickly as possible while ensuring the quality of the service. Bahrain has a shorter response time and higher speed, and all this has been accomplished with as little downtime as possible for users. "
"Our partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a successful and reliable partnership that has reduced our technology operating costs by more than 50%, so backup, storage, security and protection costs data has been significantly reduced. "
This is the last step for Mumtalakat's IT team, which is also helping its local counterparts to adopt Bahrain's first cloud computing and migrate its digital infrastructure to cloud-based solutions.
