Firefox for Android allows connection by fingerprint

Mozilla has announced that the Firefox browser for mobile devices equipped with the Google Android system currently allows login without a pbadword, where the process is registered by biometric features such as fingerprints. Mozilla explained that the login process is done by WebAuthn, which eventually became the Internet standard.

In addition to the web browser supporting this authentication, the service in question must also support this method, and the user only needs one of the identification components for carry out the connection process, such as the fingerprint sensor in smartphones.

In addition, this authentication can function as a second factor when logging in to better secure the account, and the 2FA 2FA authentication method works as follows: the user enters the pbadword and must then be identified by a second component, such as a USB module or a smartphone with an application or a biometric login method installed.

Some web services, such as Dropbox, Facebook, and Google, support WebAuthn authentication, but as a second factor, not the direct connection. This is true for Microsoft, where WebAuthn-2FA two-factor authentication only works in a Windows environment.
