Mexican fencing player Paula Peligo gave up her Mexican citizenship and represented Uzbekistan at the World Championships in Budapest last month.
Unfortunately for Bligo, aged 24, she lost her first official match on behalf of Uzbekistan to a Mexican player in the first round of the World Fencing Championship, held in Budapest from July 15-23.
Bligo was banned from participating in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil because of doping.
The beautiful Mexican wants to win a medal for Uzbekistan at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.
