This patent describes a specific method for users to control the folding device in different contexts. Microsoft explicitly mentions the use of a mechanical operator for patent advice.
Although this technique seems more logical for the collapsible Andromeda Project Microsoft, which has now been suspended, the patent suggests that Microsoft might consider including a multifunction button somewhere on the Centaur Dual Surface display.
