A new tool on Instagram

Instagram (owned by Facebook) has announced the addition of a feature that allows users to report posts they deem to be false, to prevent misleading information and other violations from being displayed on their platform.

Facebook does not ban the publication of false information in any of its social media services, but takes steps to limit its spread and warn users.

Facebook has 54 partners in 24 languages. However, the fake Instagram reporting program will only be available in the United States today. "This is a first step in the search for a more comprehensive approach to fighting misinformation," said Facebook spokeswoman Stephanie Otway.
