Four artistic tours in a symposium Dozens of Lebanese, Arab and European artists have embellished the warm summer climates of Tripoli within the Azam – Art House Cultural Society in the harbor, the ecological village of Badr Hbadoun and two other special sites. From current concerns to the revival of dreams, to creativity, to bright colors.
The symposium was organized by the "Forum of Art Lovers" – the founder of the sculptor Abdel Rahman Mohamed and the "Forum of Artists" – the founder of Haitham Haider.
A large art workshop attended by 27 artists from the environmental village of Badr Hbadoun, nine artists at the art house and 24 artists in two other special places.
In the ecological village, the artists painted their paintings in a beautiful atmosphere and the natural climate reflected the landscapes of most of the paintings, among which several scenes were carved on large sheets of soap provided by Hbadoun artists.
The artists have continued their imagination by inspiring some scenes of the site and the surroundings of the port, its urban and social environment and its maritime environment.
During a tour of participating artists, Ybader Khattar drew attention to his skills. "I start with some perception … Then, the image becomes clearer as you go along and I feel that the image itself fits on my own."
But Darren Roquez, who has loved art from an early age and learned it from his experiences and practice, seems to be "imaginative in advance and begins to apply it until the idea be finished ".
Dr. Khalil Kanaan studies art in Muscat, Oman. Graduated from Iraq, emigrated to the United States, he fights the colors of his painting and begins, as he says, "to launch a wave of color in the painting, then to follow, colors and shapes, and to impose their developments, and draw what I like, and the work, and a shot here, and a bite of it, interacting with that, and I do not finish.
Kanaan started his art at school by painting a chicken at the request of the school, which he copied and reprinted in front of the director. He built it and dedicated it to a school site that motivates him to perfect himself in art.
Farid Maatouq is involved in the mixing of colors, the white paint in front of him, sprays it with a transparent liquid, then in the mixture of colors, a lot of white and a little yellowish "beige", wearing badminton and drawing a vertical line sweeping the painting up and down. .. unspecified .. something .. I do not know how and when I finish … ".
"I do not know the beginning of the painting, nor the end, and I do not know when I will have finished working," he says with clarity and self-confidence, before continuing: "I do not know the beginning of the painting, as if we were borrowing some of the symbols of the site, to taste it in infinite colors, we cover a transparent transparency between the white and the yellow and a little blue.A technical playground has emerged from its hands and do not slip into the unknown.
And the world artist Suhail Madi, his novel with art, he started, he said, "from my mother's womb. She told me that it would be an artist" . Then my father wanted to do some engineering. I told him what you wanted and I gave him the certificate. Become an artist, coming out of engineering and art. "
Between art and geometry, intersections and contradictions, but the most striking differences are the technical constraint and its laws, the freedom of expression in the art, and so, says Madi, "I love it. Art because that's my freedom ".
He imagines the past of painting, shapes and colors, so "I can leave it at the time I want, then go back to where I stopped, I do not waste the fabric , I do not get lost and, between the clip and the clip, I return more avidly.
The most important thing my mother learned is what she said to me: "You were born to give happiness, not to wait for the happiness of anyone.
Fayez Al Samrout expressed his joy to participate in the works. At the symposium, we meet new faces, Arab and international, interact, meet previous knowledge and create an atmosphere of familiarity between us, the common denominator of art. And its meaning, and what we see, reflects the impression of the artist, and we can say here that the symposium was beautiful, that most of the work was beautiful, a radiant expression of the satisfaction of the artists.
He explained that the work of his forum was focused on the symposium and on the creation of individual exhibitions of foreign artists to familiarize them with Tripoli, as well as the culture and content of aesthetics. "It's amazing because of the strong influence of the environment on the imagination of the artists. The atmosphere of the village and that of the art house located in the port reflected the work of artists, although indirectly" .
At the end of each day, memories were exchanged between the artists, the center and the organization of the symposium.
Their life is on their shoulders and their eyes on the border
