NEW YORK (Reuters Health) – Silicon implants can increase the risk of arthritis, dead fetal birth and skin cancer, according to a new study.
The researchers found that women were at increased risk of having a risk of dead skin cancer, 4.5 times and 4 times larger, after silicone implants. In detail, during the study, the researchers examined the medical records of nearly 100,000 patients, including 80,000 who had undergone silicone surgery, the rest of the implants wearing saline-filled implants. The researchers found that women who had been implanted with silicone increased their risk of having health problems and bad cancer.
