Abu Hasna calls on Arab countries to donate to UNRWA in the same way as the Emirati donation

A spokesman for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Adnan Abu Hasna, called on Arab countries to make a donation to the United Nations. UNRWA, while the United Arab Emirates donated $ 50 million.

"The UAE has always been the first to donate for many years, so we hope that in the coming months Arab countries will make donations to UNRWA," Abu Hasna told the Palestinian daily Al. -Quds.

In the difficult context of Palestinian refugees, Abu Hbadaneh said the agency was providing services to 5 million Palestinian refugees in the Gaza Strip, Syria and Lebanon, stressing that it was necessary to continue to support the budget of the Agency.

The spokesman for UNRWA announced that a pledging conference would be held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting two months later on funding for UNRWA and the renewal of the Agency's mandate in September.
