Frenchman Pavitembe Gomez led Al Hilal to a spectacular victory over host Al Ahli when he converted his two-goal deficit into a 4-2 victory at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah in the first leg of the final of the AFC Champions League.

Ahli took the lead twice with Syrian Omar Soma (6) and Djanini Tavares of Cape Verde (39), but Al Hilal scored a quad with Gomes (16, 48 and 65) and of Abdullah Al-Hafiz (81 years old).

After the match, some Al Hilal stars congratulated fans on Twitter.

"Congratulations to all the leaders," tweeted Hattan Bahabri.

Mohammed al-Shalhoub wrote, "Thank you God, congratulations, a good start."

Omar Khirbeen tweeted: "Congratulations, my heroes, the next is more beautiful, God willing, than a thousand thanks to the faithful fans of the leader for his presence."
