Former French international midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa has decided to sue his former club, Paris St Germain, and claim millions of euros in compensation due to the freezing of his contract with the Paris club, announced his lawyer.
Lawyer Jean-Jacques Bertrand said the 31-year-old midfielder had filed his lawsuit in the Paris Labor Court last week.
Ben Arafa joined Paris St Germain in 2016, but was marginalized outside the group from April 2017 until the end of his contract at the end of last season.
The French newspaper Journal du Dimanche revealed that Ben Arafa, who played 23 league games with Saint-Germain, mainly as an alternative, scored no goals, which the club would have punished and marginalized .
Ben Arfa, who currently defends Rennes, claims between seven and eight million euros for damages caused by "discrimination" for reasons other than sports, according to RMS Sport.
