The first constituent meeting, to be held last night at the Meedan Hotel in Dubai, adopted the final form of the approved statutes, before being submitted to the General Authority of Sport within two weeks for adoption, as well as to adopt the new logo and the new name, UAE Professionals Association.
The meeting is held under the chairmanship of Abdulla Nbader Al-Junaibi, chairman of the professional league committee, in the presence of representatives of 13 professional clubs and the representative of the Kalba badociation.
For his part, Dr. Khalid Abdullah, business development consultant on the professional league committee, said the committee would be followed by the financial and administrative departments, legal representation, commercial marketing and investment and management of competition.
With regard to the composition of the board of directors of the new professional badociation, a seven-member council is elected, five of whom are elected, the president, the deputy and three members, the rest of the members being appointed by the president, who has the right to vote. The governing body of the Football Federation, as vice president of the federation, will be discussed with the Union, after the stability on the new electoral list of the Football Federation, in the upcoming elections of 2020.
Khalid Abdullah pointed out that the new badociation is followed by the constitution of the board of directors of the professional league committee, which will manage the badociation transiently until the elections of 2020 that will be held at the end of the current session of the council.
The new badociation organizes the current competitions and is free to evaluate, cancel or add competitions, to enact its own regulations and legislation and to organize these competitions.
Waleed Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Professional League Committee, emphasized the strength of the relationship between the Football Federation and the Professional Committee, noting that the professionalism of the UAE dated back 10 years and that he had considerable experience in the commercial relations between the two teams and the organization of all the professional championships. That these experiences are enough to avoid what happened before to the negative aspects of the experience of independence that the Association had in the past at the beginning of the creation.
