Argentine woman returns to her family three decades after kidnapping
An Argentine woman abducted by gangs of human traffickers in the 1980s returned to her family after a joint operation by the Argentine and Bolivian authorities.
The 45-year-old woman remained missing throughout this period until police in Argentina received information about her presence in Bermejo, in the south of the country.
The police identified the location of the house where information on the Argentine woman's detention was available. The woman and her nine-year-old son were released.
The Argentine woman, held since the 1980s, has finally been able to reach her family's home in Mar del Plata, Argentina, the Argentinian authorities said in a statement.
The official statement, according to the BBC, does not give more details, for example, about the person responsible for the abduction of Argentine women for more than 32 years.
