MADRID (Reuters) – Real Madrid finished third in the Audi Cup after beating Turkey's Venerbahce 5-3 in Wednesday's Allianz Arena.
French striker Karim Benzema was the star of the match after scoring three goals in minutes 12, 27 and 52 respectively, while Nacho Fernandez added the fourth goal in Real Madrid in the 62nd minute. Mariano Diaz finished fifth with the fifth and final goal in the 79th minute.
Inter Milan midfielder Garry Rodriguez was the first to score when he scored his first goal in the sixth minute. Nabil Darrar added a second goal in the 34th minute and Uzan Toufan added the third goal in the 59th minute on a superb outdoor shot.
Real had lost in friendly match against Bayern Munich (3-1), Atletico Madrid (3-7) and Tottenham (0-1), while equalizing the friendly match with Arsenal (2-2) before to win the penalty shoot-out with three goals at two goals.
