In an incident that nearly killed dozens of people in Jezzine, a speeding car burst into the crowd during the celebration of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin. Residents and participants panicked.

MP Ibrahim Azar, on his Facebook page, commented on the incident in these terms: "The media failure of yesterday, which could have killed dozens of people, warns the ministries of the Interior and of Justice there is an auditor.The necessary measures must be taken against minors in order to avoid any painful incident in the future, so as not to be forced to ask the House of Representatives questions that may hinder and reveal some of them.

He added: "Thank you to Our Lady for her care and protection for all the faithful and participants, as well as the young Jezzine Ahli and my brothers who protected the population and took control of the aggressor before giving it to the interested parties.".

In relationship with "Day"Mayor Jezzine Khalil Harfoush explained that "the incident was placed in the context of the individual incident", noting that "the actor was under the influence of alcohol" or narcotics ".

He also denied that the incident was of any political origin, noting that "all the political parties in Jezzine came together to condemn the work that was aimed at the sacred march, which was attended by more than 8,000 people.".
